July 2021 - 21/22 Season Announced!
The LCO is thrilled to announce plans for our 21-22 season! Read all about our plans for a Restaurant Romp, a Gala, three Main Stage concert cycles, and a Holiday show here! We’re so happy to be back!!!

Jan. 24th 2021 - LCO Jam Sessions have begun!
The LCO had its first Jam Session today in which 20 musicians gathered to read through (jam out on!) some repertoire for string ensemble. It was a blast! Follow us on Facebook to see photos and videos of the event! More to come!

Due to the pandemic, performing arts organizations all around the world are modernizing their presence in communities in order to continue reaching their audiences as effectively as possible. In that spirit, we’re taking the opportunity to re-vamp our entire online presence, starting with our website. Welcome - we hope you like it!
Dec. 1st 2020 - LCO to release holiday music videos all month!
Head on over to our Facebook page and give us a ‘like’ - Starting on Dec. 1 the LCO will be releasing pre-recorded videos of our musicians performing holiday favorites in various small ensemble configurations.
Nov. 30th 2020 - We’ve got a new Artistic Director!
Please welcome Gabriel Lefkowitz to the LCO podium as our new Artistic Director and Conductor! Gabriel is already familiar to the Louisville music community in his capacity as Concertmaster of the Louisville Orchestra and we’re so thrilled that he’s taking up the LCO baton!
“I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the LCO as Artistic Director,” says Gabriel. “This incredible institution has been an indispensable part of Louisville’s cultural landscape for over one hundred years and it is an honor to be entrusted with its stewardship. I cannot wait to start making music with the LCO’s phenomenal musicians and creating exciting and meaningful musical offerings for this incredible city we call home!”

Dec. 19th 2021 - Holiday shows complete!

Nov. 4th 2021 - First pair of concerts a fantastic success!
We’ve just finished presenting our first pair of live orchestral concerts since February 2020 and are so thrilled to be making music together for appreciative and enthusiastic audiences! Thank you to everyone who came to hear us or tuned into the livestream! Onwards and upwards!
